In late 2024, Modern Therapy approached me with the idea of redesigning their moth inspired logo.
Modern Therapy’s previous logo was heavily inspired by the luna moth. For the new logo, it was being considered whether to continue with drawing from the luna moth or if they wished to branch out into a new look. I was asked to draw up rough mockups for the team inspired both by the original luna moth, and by the death’s-head hawkmoth.

The Modern Therapy team was still undecided after the initial mockups, but expressed concern that the logo inspired by the death’s-head would most probably look unapproachable for a therapy office. With this in mind, I reworked the logo and utilized rounder shapes and heart motifs in my reimaging of the death’s-head for a friendlier feel. I presented both cleaned up versions with color for the next review.

Once both designs were rethought and cleaned up, the Modern Therapy team decided to move forward with the death’s-head inspired logo. Lettering was added in a serif font, and QR versions were made. After the logos were finalized, the logos were duplicated in different colors and themes, as well as different levels of transparency.

Booklet Advertisment
In late 2024 I was approached with the idea for developing an image based on Rosie the Riveter for an ad to be posted in a booklet for POEM’s Pass the Mic event.

Upon being approached for this advertisement, I jumped right in to create a visually striking mockup that features a modern woman and mother, embodying the iconic Rosie the Riveter pose.
In this design, she confidently holds a microphone, a deliberate nod to the event’s title- “Pass the Mic.” Additionally, I incorporated the former Modern Therapy logo onto her arm, imitating a tattoo to give an additional modern flair.

After the original mockup was approved, I developed a cleaned up and colored version utilizing the Modern Therapy team’s preferred pink color palette. Several versions were created, including solid color, comic shading, and white with comic shading.
Following meeting with the Modern Therapy Team, it was decided that the comic shading version was preferred. Lettering was added along with the QR code to the company’s website.
For the final version of the advertisement, the orientation ultimately was rotated 90% before being finalized and posted in the booklet.
